Alessandro Montanaro

 


Alessandro is a doctoral student at the University of Ferrara and a member of the SEEDS (Sustainability, Environmental Economics, and Dynamics Studies) research center, which focuses on environmental policy and sustainable development research. He holds a Master of Science in Green Economy and Sustainability and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management, both from the University of Ferrara.

In his doctoral studies, Alessandro concentrates on analyzing sustainability trade-offs associated with production and consumption activities. He is dedicated to developing methodological tools that enhance the information base necessary for sustainable development policymaking, with a particular emphasis on regional dimensions.

Over the years, Alessandro has actively contributed to numerous national and international research projects. In addition to his research, he engages in project writing for EU-wide calls (Horizon, Life) as well as national and regional research initiatives. He also assists in the implementation of successful proposals. His work prominently features topics such as carbon accounting, environmental cost-benefit analysis, firm survey design and analysis, circular economy, and eco-innovation.
